The game's February 4, 2025 release date remains unchanged. However, recent events have cast a shadow over the development.

Following the discovery of subpoenas related to the game, activists launched a campaign to cancel Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. Figures like Grummz, characterized as "agenda-driven" campaigners, have amplified the controversy.

Speculation surrounding the inclusion of "progressive" elements and specific content ignited when news of a Saudi Arabian ban broke. This sparked a backlash on social media, with calls to cancel the game and discourage funding for the developers.
