KEMCO Unveils Metro Quester: A Gritty Dungeon-Crawling RPG for Android

Metro Quester – Hack & Slash is now live on Android. This dungeon-crawling RPG breaks from KEMCO’s typical style. While it retains turn-based JRPG roots, it dives deep into a raw, retro-inspired dungeon crawler experience.

Uncover Secrets in a Fallen World

In the game, you lead a band of scavengers, venturing underground to gather scarce resources before your weekly food supply dwindles. The key number to track is 100—collect 100 food units every seven in-game days to survive.

Your journey takes you through monster-filled ruins, scavenging in areas like Otemachi and Ginza for remnants. Leveling up is restricted to safe camps, provided you return with enough loot and survive the dangers.

Choose from 24 unique characters, each tied to one of eight distinct classes. Customize your team’s skills, weapons, and tactics to suit your strategy.

Abilities consume action points, with only five points available per turn and one use per ability per round, making every decision critical.

The dungeon in Metro Quester – Hack & Slash unfolds as you explore. You might uncover food hidden in rubble, stumble into monster lairs, or find keys to unlock new zones. Occasionally, you’ll discover a campsite to establish as your next base.

The game’s visuals are stark and minimal, with a bleak, colorless world that makes your team stand out vividly. Check out the trailer for a closer look.

A NEW GAME+ mode awaits those who complete the main story, offering replayability with heightened challenges for dedicated players.

Priced at $14.99, the game is available on Android via the Google Play Store, supporting English and Japanese but not game controllers.
