Get ready for two weeks of intense Rainbow Six Siege action in Boston! The Six Invitational 2025, the world championship, is set to crown the ultimate team.
The format remains unchanged from 2024, but for newcomers, let's break it down. The tournament unfolds in two phases: a group stage and a double-elimination playoff.
Initially, teams are divided into four groups for a round-robin stage. Every match is crucial, impacting both survival and playoff seeding.
The top four teams from each group enjoy a significant advantage, starting in the upper bracket and bypassing a playoff round. This guarantees them a 9th-12th place finish at minimum. Teams placing second and third also begin in the upper bracket, allowing for one loss before elimination. Teams finishing fourth enter the lower bracket, facing a win-or-go-home scenario from the first round. A fifth-place finish means elimination from the tournament.
