Alkimia Interactive, the studio behind the eagerly awaited Gothic 1 Remake, has provided select journalists with early access to a new demo. Originally slated for Gamescom, this demo will soon be available to the public.
This preview offers a taste of the full game, introducing a new protagonist: Niras, a prisoner arriving in the Miners' Valley. Unlike the original Nameless Hero, Niras' perspective shapes the early narrative and interactions with the valley's inhabitants.
A Gamescom 2024 exclusive demo, focusing on Niras' arrival and initial experiences in the Colony, will soon be released for wider public access. This updated Gothic world has been meticulously rebuilt from the ground up, promising extended gameplay, enhanced orc interactions, and a more immersive experience than its predecessor.
The Gothic 1 Remake demo will debut on Steam during the Steam Next Fest event. It will be free to play from the evening of February 24th to the evening of March 3rd. The full Gothic 1 Remake is scheduled for a PC (Steam, GOG), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S release later this year.
