Genshin Impact is set to launch its highly anticipated update, Version 5.5, titled "Day of the Flame's Return," on March 26th. This update promises to intensify the action in Natlan with significant additions to both the storyline and gameplay mechanics.

One of the most exciting features coming with Version 5.5 is the introduction of controller support for Android devices. This long-awaited feature is sure to enhance the gaming experience for many players. You can find more details about the supported controllers by following this link.

What Does Genshin Impact Version 5.5 Have in Store?

The update will take players deep into the southwestern part of Natlan, where they'll encounter a new tribe, a massive volcano, and new characters. The Great Volcano of Tollan is shrouded in ancient secrets and hosts a sacred city that has been dormant for centuries. Players will need to delve into the mysteries of the "Flamelord’s Blessing" and the enigma of the Little One, all while navigating the magma-filled environment.

In this region, you'll meet the Collective of Plenty, a tribe that values fitness and strength, turning physical challenges into a cultural norm. Two new playable characters, Varesa and Iansan, will join the roster. Varesa, a 5-star Electro Catalyst user, can restore Phlogiston post-meal consumption, offering unique support capabilities outside of combat. Iansan, a 4-star Electro Polearm wielder and one of Natlan's six heroes, combines offensive and supportive roles. She gains the Warming Up effect when a teammate triggers a Nightsoul Burst, enabling continuous healing.

During the first phase of Version 5.5’s Event Wishes, players can pull for Varesa and Iansan, along with reruns for Xianyun, Xilonen, and Venti. For a glimpse of these exciting additions, check out the official trailer below.

The Bloomflower Trials Are Making a Comeback

In this update, players will encounter Mavuika, Ifa, and other Natlan allies to aid a sick Saurian. A new mini-game, "Saurian Treasure Seeker," will challenge players to guide baby Saurians through obstacles to collect treasures. Participating in this event rewards players with the opportunity to invite Ororon for free.

A formidable new boss, the Lava Dragon Statue, awaits in the volcanic fissures, offering thrilling combat encounters. Genshin Impact Version 5.5 can be downloaded from the Google Play Store once it's released, allowing players to dive into this expansive update.
