Mariah Carey has thawed out, launching the Fortnite Winterfest event for the 2024 holiday season! Players eager to tackle the event Quests need to find SGT. Winter and discuss his Wintervestigation. Here's how to locate him.

SGT. Winter's Location in Fortnite Chapter 6

The initial Wintervestigation Quest sends players to SGT. Winter for a chat. These Quests seem to involve teaming up with Noir to uncover clues and discover new NPCs across the Chapter 6 map.

The Quest tracker will pinpoint SGT. Winter's location, even before you enter a match. He's near a plane crash site atop a snowy mountain, east of Warrior's Watch and south of Foxy Floodgate. It's close to Mariah Carey's in-game concert location.

SGT. Winter patrols near the plane wreckage. He's marked on the map and HUD with a speech bubble. Interact with him to access a menu offering a Holo Twister Assault Rifle, Blizzard Grenade, or dialogue options.

Select the magnifying glass icon to initiate the Wintervestigation conversation. He'll provide a new mission, directing you to Noir in Seaport City. Completing the dialogue rewards 25,000 XP.

While simple, surviving to talk to SGT. Winter can be tricky. The area is a popular drop zone, especially early in the Wintervestigation Quest chain. Consider waiting a few days for the crowds to thin.

Alternatively, immediately purchase items from SGT. Winter. The Epic Holo Twister Rifle is a strong early-game weapon.

Use the plane wreckage for cover and prioritize grabbing nearby chests. Many players may only have pickaxes, giving a well-coordinated team a fighting chance.
