Fortnite Introduces Long-Awaited Feature

In the latest update for Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1, players can now use Fortnite Festival's instruments as pickaxes and back blings, adding a fresh twist to the battle royale experience. This season has introduced a variety of new features that have been warmly welcomed by the Fortnite community. In December 2024, Epic Games enriched the game with new modes such as Ballistic, LEGO Fortnite: Brick Life, and Fortnite OG, enhancing the overall gameplay.

Fortnite Festival, a significant mode within Fortnite, has been likened to the beloved Guitar Hero series, allowing players to engage with different instruments and play through a variety of songs. The Item Shop offers licensed music and instrument cosmetics, and the recent addition of local co-op has further enriched the mode. To boost its popularity, Fortnite Festival has collaborated with renowned artists like Snoop Dogg, Metallica, and Lady Gaga.

Epic Games has delighted fans by integrating Fortnite Festival's instruments into the battle royale mode. Players can now select items like microphones and guitars as both back blings and pickaxes. When used as a pickaxe, the instrument vanishes from the character's back and reappears upon switching to another item or weapon. This update also features a crossover with Hatsune Miku, introducing new outfits and instruments to the game.

Fortnite’s Instruments Can Now Be Used as Pickaxes and Back Blings

To utilize this new feature, players can navigate to the game's locker and select the "instruments" option to sort their back blings and pickaxes. This update has also modified instruments previously limited to back blings and pickaxes, making them compatible with Fortnite Festival. This much-anticipated feature has received an overwhelmingly positive response from the Fortnite community.

Alongside this, the latest update introduces new cosmetics from the Fortnite and Godzilla collaboration. Fans can choose between pink and blue edit styles for Godzilla-themed outfits. By completing battle pass challenges, players can unlock additional accessories like wraps, harvesters, gliders, and more. With such a wealth of new content, Fortnite's latest update continues to captivate and excite its fanbase.
