In *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, the ongoing feud between Prochek and Olbram threatens to erupt into a full-blown brawl during the "Battle of the Frogs and Mice" side quest. But fear not, Henry! You can intervene and bring peace to these warring factions. Here's how to stop the feud.

How to Start the Battle of Frogs and Mice in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

This side quest unlocks after completing either the Mice or Frogs quests for Prochek and Olbram. Regardless of your choice, simply speak to Prochek in Tachov or Olbram in Zhelejov to initiate the quest. Then, head to the pasture to begin the next phase.

Should You Side With Prochek or Olbram?

You'll once again be faced with a choice: support Prochek or Olbram. However, a more peaceful resolution is possible (detailed below). To side with either, speak to your chosen champion. Telling Prochek "Let's get those Zhelejovites!" or Olbram "Let's go and see those Tachovites!" will commit you to their side. During the pasture confrontation, attempting negotiation might allow you to sway one party, making the ensuing fight easier. Victory rewards you with groschen.

How to Stop the Feud

To achieve a peaceful resolution, speak to Prochek or Olbram before heading to the pasture and inquire about ending the feud. Next, travel to Troskowitz and speak with Bailiff Thrush. Select the dialogue option, "You’d finally have some peace."

This requires a successful dialogue check. If successful, you can access the Troskowitz Chronicle in the scribe's room. If not, you can sneak in to read it (saving your game beforehand is recommended). After reading, speak with the scribe and choose, “Fecit, ordinem in regione ope clavi ferrei.”

Now, examine the middle of three oak trees in the pasture to find a nail. You can place the nail in the middle tree (equal division), the west tree (favoring Tachov), or the east tree (favoring Zhelejov). The choice doesn't significantly impact the outcome. Once placed, speak with Bailiff Thrush again to confirm the end of the feud. Finally, speak with Prochek or Olbram to bring them to the pasture and finalize the peace.
