Whether you're conquering Tera Raids or climbing the ranked ladder in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, optimal stat distribution is key. Simply leveling up through random battles will leave your Pokémon with subpar stats. Luckily, farming Attack EVs is surprisingly easy in several locations. This guide highlights the best spots.
A community favorite, this northeastern area (near Team Star's Fighting Crew base) is teeming with Pokémon yielding pure Attack EVs: Lokix, Scyther, Bisharp, Heracross, Dratini, and Ursaring. Note that some Pokémon, like Falinks, offer mixed EV gains. For maximum damage, consistent battling is crucial.
For precise EV farming, the eastern outskirts of Porto Marinada are ideal. Paldean Tauros groups yield 2 EVs each, boosted to 10 with a Power Bracer, allowing for fine-tuned EV control.
Before you start, equip the Power Bracer. This item grants an additional +8 Attack EVs per defeated wild Pokémon, significantly accelerating your training. Even Pokémon granting EVs to other stats will still provide that +8 Attack EV bonus. While faster methods exist, this is more cost-effective than buying large quantities of vitamins. Purchase it for 10,000 Pokédollars at Delibird Presents in Mesagoza, Levincia, and Cascarrafa.
Pokémon outbreaks can drastically boost EV gains. However, the following Pokémon consistently provide efficient training:
Common near lakes and swamps, Flamigo appear at various levels, making them accessible even at lower levels (e.g., southeastern lakes of the South Province). Higher-level Flamigo are found near Casseroya Watchtower No. 1, especially during "Encounter Power: Fighting" bonuses. Be mindful of their level (around 50 in this area).
Avoid levels 9-20 Pokémon with the "Detect" ability, which can slow down battles. This is rare in the recommended locations.
Found in central-western and central-eastern areas, Paldean Tauros often appear in groups of five. For efficient training, hunt them south of Levincia. Some possess the "Intimidate" ability, slightly slowing battles, but they remain excellent mid-level targets.
Both Flamigo and Paldean Tauros are excellent choices, often found in groups, yielding 2 Attack EVs each (10 with a Power Bracer). Only 26 battles are needed to reach the 252 EV cap. Remember, regular Tauros only yield 1 Attack EV—avoid them!
The "Tropical Sandwich" (from Every Wich Way) activates the "Encounter Power: Fighting Lv. 1" bonus, increasing encounters with Fighting-type Pokémon.
Kelpsy Berries reduce EVs by 10, useful for fine-tuning if you overshoot your target.
Efficient EV training requires patience. Utilize locations like North Province Area Two, the Power Bracer, and target Flamigo or Paldean Tauros during outbreaks. Avoid auto-battles and Pokémon with hindering abilities for optimal results.
