Dragon Quest enthusiasts, rejoice! The latest installment in the beloved series, Dragon Quest X, is making its way to mobile devices, but there's a catch—it's only available in Japan. Fans in Japan can dive into the offline version of Dragon Quest X, which offers a single-player experience, on iOS and Android starting tomorrow. What's more, it's available at a discounted price, making it even more enticing for players looking to explore this MMORPG-like adventure on the go.

As reported by Gematsu, this offline version of Dragon Quest X brings the game's unique real-time combat and other MMORPG features to mobile, a departure from the typical Dragon Quest gameplay. Originally released for consoles and PC in 2022, this mobile adaptation promises to deliver the same engaging experience. Interestingly, back in 2013, Ubitu had plans to bring Dragon Quest X to mobile, showcasing the long-standing interest in making the series accessible on handheld devices.

Unfortunately, for fans outside of Japan, there's no word yet on a global release. The original Dragon Quest X was also Japan-exclusive, and while an international launch for the offline mobile version would be fantastic, there's currently no indication that it's in the works. As a dedicated Dragon Quest fan who spent countless hours with Sentinels of the Starry Sky, the prospect of playing a different version of the series on mobile is incredibly appealing.

While we wait and hope for news on a global release, why not explore our list of the top 10 games we'd love to see come to mobile on Android? From dream scenarios to potential realities, there are plenty of great titles that could make a seamless transition to the world of handheld gaming.
