Acquire Your Pet

Upon launching Diablo 4 Season 7, visit the nearest town's Wardrobe to claim your pet. While combat-ineffective, pets efficiently gather gold and materials, freeing you to focus on combat and loot acquisition.

Recruit Your Mercenaries

Vessel of Hatred expansion owners should visit the Den to recruit Mercenaries. Solo players can utilize two, simplifying leveling and combat while fostering Rapport for additional rewards.

Follow the Seasonal Questline and Level Up

Begin on Normal difficulty and follow the green leaf-marked seasonal questline. This introduces Season 7 mechanics, including Headhunt zones, Grim Favors for the Tree of Whispers, and new Witch powers. While relatively short, it involves puzzles and primarily focuses on Headhunt zone Favor farming. This is also the optimal method for reaching level 60. Repeatedly defeating Headhunt zone bosses, collecting Favors, and upgrading Witch powers will accelerate leveling.

Unlock Your Class Power

A helpful feature eliminates the need to repeat class-specific priority quests if completed on a previous character (requires logging in with that character on the Eternal realm first).

Headhunt Zones

While exploring Headhunt zones, actively complete Whispers. Four zones are always active; prioritize smaller, denser zones for faster mob farming and Whisper completion. Prioritize these Whisper quests:

• Fugitive Shepherd: Escort animals across the map.
• Fugitive: Recover a head or destroy a husk (activated by defeating Elites and interacting with roots).

Exchange 10 Grim Favors for a cache at the Tree of Whispers. Note that a Raven of the Tree spawns in each Headhunt zone, offering an alternative Favor exchange point.

Witchcraft Powers

Purchase and upgrade Witchcraft powers at the Tree of Whispers using Restless Rot (obtained by killing Rot enemies). Prioritize damage-enhancing powers. Certain Witch powers are found at Forgotten Altars (randomly located in dungeons, Nightmare Dungeons, Pits, and Rootholds at Torment 1 or higher, or increased chance with Draught of Whispers).

Rootholds

Rootholds (accessed with Whispering Wood from Whispers and Silent Chests) offer a rogue-lite experience similar to Infernal Hordes. Activate negative modifiers for enhanced loot quality. Open Exposed Roots for loot; modifiers affect the number and quality of roots. Save Roothold keys for Torment 1 for optimal Ancestral loot.

Occult Gems

Craft Occult Gems (superior to regular gems) with Gelena at the Tree of Whispers. These require significant Restless Rot and Heads (dropped by Roothold bosses and Headhunt Fugitives, increased chance with Draught of Whispers). Focus on Occult Gems in the late game.

Pits, Infernal Hordes, and Nightmare Dungeons
