How To Unlock 'Under the Straw Hat' in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

To begin "Under the Straw Hat," you must first initiate the "In Vino Veritas" side quest in Kuttenberg. Upon arrival, locate Casper Rudolf on the west side of the city, who's offering free wine samples. He tasks you with gathering information to enhance his wine.

You have two options: directly approach Havel with your wine knowledge, or retrieve Casper's book from Adleta to deepen your understanding. If you choose to speak with Havel, ensure you're dressed in fine clothes and clean. During your conversation, select "Germany," "Steinberger," and "It's missing ginger" to extract the information you need. Return to Casper with these insights.

Access the Vineyard

Next, Casper requires you to infiltrate a vineyard north of Kuttenberg to learn more about the incense Havel mentioned. Avoid wandering into the fields to prevent trespassing charges. Instead, follow the main road to the vineyard and speak with the recruiter, who will initiate the "Under the Straw Hat" quest. Continue along the road past a guard to find Jerome on a bench. Inform Jerome that you've been sent to report, and he'll brief you on your role at the vineyard.

Working at the Vineyard

Your job at the vineyard starts the following day. After resting, return in the morning. To earn wages, you must move sacks to their designated spots and collect plants like Thistle around the vines. However, your main goal is to retrieve the secret incense from the wine cellar, located in the main building downstairs from where you met Jerome. Accessing the cellar requires either a lockpick or stealing keys from Jerome.

Inside the cellar, locate a chest and take all the Sulphur Wicks. This fulfills the main objective, but you can also collect seedlings for Casper to boost your reward. From the main building's entrance, head straight to the opposite door to find the seedlings. Be swift, as this area is off-limits, and you risk punishment if caught.

If you complete your assigned work, report to Jerome at day's end for payment. Alternatively, return directly to Casper with the Sulphur Wicks and, if applicable, the seedlings.
