Ten years of peaceful Sims life comes to an end! Burglars are back in The Sims 4, ready to wreak havoc on unsuspecting households. The Sims 4 developers recently announced this long-awaited (by some) update in their latest blog post.
Just like in previous games, installing a trusty alarm system is your first line of defense. Trigger the alarm, and the police will swiftly arrive to apprehend the culprit. For the more technically inclined Sims, upgrading the alarm system reduces the chance of malfunctions and ensures an automatic police call. If you're caught off guard without an alarm, you can still try calling the police yourself – fingers crossed they arrive before the burglar makes off with your prized possessions! Alternatively, a more diplomatic approach might work: try befriending the burglar.
For those with access to the game's expansion packs, more creative (and potentially more exciting) solutions are available. Unleash your loyal canine companion, summon the power of spellcasters, vampires, or werewolves, or even freeze the burglar solid with a specialized ray gun!
The best news? This thrilling burglar update is available now, completely free for all players.
