Brok the InvestiGator is getting a festive spin-off! This free visual novel, clocking in at around an hour, offers a heartwarming Christmas prequel to the main game. Forget the beat 'em up action; this one's all about story.
Brok Natal Tail Christmas introduces Graff and Ott as they navigate a twisted version of Christmas, "Natal Untail," in their world of Atlasia. Despite the corrupted holiday, they manage to find genuine Christmas cheer, with a little help from Brok himself.
This isn't a full-blown expansion, but it's a charming diversion into a new genre and showcases developer Cowcat's new Brokvn Engine.
A Point-and-Click Christmas Treat
Given it's free and a short, festive treat for Brok fans, criticizing its length seems unfair. Cowcat's willingness to explore a new genre instead of simply rehashing existing gameplay is commendable.
There's little downside to trying it. Unless you actively dislike visual novels, there's no reason not to give this unique take on Christmas a shot.
