Obtaining Paradisan Ladder in Avowed
Five primary methods exist for obtaining Paradisan Ladder: purchasing from Merilyn, foraging, side quest rewards, deconstructing items, and downgrading Hylea's Talon.
Merilyn, located in South Paradise (see map above), offers a quick and reliable source. She typically stocks five Paradisan Ladders at 150 coins each. Additionally, she sells the Many-Hued Doublet and the Common Grimoire of Elements, both deconstructible into additional Paradisan Ladder (two units each). Note that her inventory doesn't seem to replenish.
Paradisan Ladder plants are scattered throughout the game world, identifiable by their unique icon on your minimap (red circle in image above). While other plants may resemble it, actively searching during exploration provides a steady, free supply.
Many side quests offer Paradisan Ladder as a reward. For example, "Escape Plan" provides several units. Completing side quests offers a supplementary source while simultaneously granting experience and other rewards.
Deconstructing higher-tier items previously upgraded with Paradisan Ladder recovers some of the herb. Check the "Break Down" section of item descriptions, especially unique items from merchants, to identify potential sources.
Once you reach Emerald Stair and acquire Hylea's Talon, you can downgrade each Talon into three Paradisan Ladders at your party camp workbench. This is useful for quickly upgrading a different weapon type.
By utilizing these methods, you can effectively manage your Paradisan Ladder supply and progress smoothly in Avowed.
