"Assassin’s Creed Shadows: Global Release Schedule Announced"

Ubisoft has officially announced the global release times for Assassin's Creed Shadows, marking a significant departure from the series' previous launch strategies. Unlike other Ubisoft titles and past entries in the Assassin's Creed franchise, Assassin's Creed Shadows will not offer any early access for an additional fee. Instead, it will launch simultaneously across the globe, ensuring a unified release experience for all players.

The game is set to release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S at 12am local time on March 20. However, PC players will experience different release times depending on their platform of choice. Those purchasing through Steam will see the game go live at varying times across different time zones, while those using Ubisoft's own platform, Ubi Connect, will have yet another set of release times to consider.

Pre-loading is currently available for Xbox Series X and S, PlayStation 5, and PC, allowing eager fans to get ready for the big day.

The pressure is on for Assassin's Creed Shadows to perform well for Ubisoft, following a series of delays and the underwhelming sales of last year's Star Wars Outlaws. Ubisoft has faced significant challenges recently, including high-profile flops, layoffs, studio closures, and game cancellations, setting the stage for Assassin's Creed Shadows to be a pivotal release for the company.

IGN's review of Assassin's Creed Shadows awarded it an 8/10, praising the game for refining its open-world mechanics and delivering one of the best experiences in the series to date. The review stated, “By sharpening the edges of its existing systems, Assassin’s Creed Shadows creates one of the best versions of the open-world style it’s been honing for the last decade.”
