Hez2: A Popular Moroccan Card Game

Hez2 is a classic Moroccan card game perfect for family fun. This turn-based game supports up to four players, offering engaging gameplay for one, two, or three players as well. The goal is simple: be the first to get rid of all your cards.

Gameplay involves matching either the suit or rank of the previously played card. If a player has no matching card, they must draw one from the deck. Even with a valid card, a player may choose to draw instead.

Special Cards:

• 2: When a two is played, the next player must draw two cards. If they also hold a two, they can choose to draw two cards or play their two, forcing the next player to draw four, and so on, until a player without a two draws the accumulated cards.

• 7: Playing a seven allows the player to change the required suit/color for the next card played.

• 10: Playing a ten requires the player to immediately play another card. If the ten was their last card, they must draw a card from the deck.

• 12: (Three or four player games only) Playing a twelve skips the next player's turn.

The game concludes when a player plays their last card (with special rules applying if the last card is a two or ten), and that player is declared the winner.

Hez2 uses a 40-card deck with four suits:

• 10 Copas (Tbaye9)
• 10 Espadas (Syouf)
• 10 Oros (D'hab)
• 10 Bastos (Zrawéte)

Each suit contains cards numbered 1-7 and 10-12.
