Thislatestdelistingfollowsapatternofcost-cuttingmeasuresbyWarnerBros.Discovery,whichhaspreviouslyshelvedfilmsandremovedcontentfromstreamingservices.AsimilarincidentinMarch2024sawthethreatenedremovalofseveralAdultSwimgames,someofwhichwereultimatelysparedduetopublicoutcry.Thistime,however,atleastsixtitleshavebeenquietlydelistedasofDecember23rd,2024.

Eachgame'sstorelistingnowdisplaysamessageindicatingitsremovalfromsale.Whilesomerelatedcontent,suchassoundtracksorotherCartoonNetworkGamestitles,remainavailable,thelackofexplanationfromWarnerBros.Discovery,CartoonNetworkGames,andAdultSwimGameshasfueledfanfrustration.TheremovalofSamuraiJack:BattleThroughTimeisparticularlycontroversial,asitfeaturesthecanonicalconclusiontotheshow'sfifthseason.
