HoYoverse's mobile hit, Zenless Zone Zero, continues its impressive market performance. The recent 1.4 update, titled "And the Starfall Came," propelled the game to a record-breaking $8.6 million in daily mobile player spending – surpassing even its launch day revenue in July 2024.
According to AppMagic, Zenless Zone Zero's cumulative mobile revenue has now exceeded $265 million. Update 1.4's success is attributed to the introduction of new characters like Hoshimi Miyabi and Asaba Harumasa, alongside enhanced gameplay mechanics, new areas, and game modes, all encouraging increased player spending.
The free availability of Harumasa as a promotional character, combined with the gacha banner featuring Hoshimi Miyabi, significantly contributed to this revenue surge.
The 1.4 update demonstrated HoYoverse's ability to sustain player engagement. Unlike typical post-update spending drops after a week, Zenless Zone Zero maintained over $1 million in daily revenue for more than 11 consecutive days, and even exceeded $500,000 per day after two weeks.
While a remarkable achievement, Zenless Zone Zero's revenue still trails behind HoYoverse's flagship titles, Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail.
