Xbox Game Pass Unveils May 2025 Wave 1 Titles

Microsoft has announced the exciting Wave 1 lineup for Xbox Game Pass in May 2025, featuring 12 new titles that will be available up to May 20. The highlight of this month's additions is undoubtedly Doom: The Dark Ages, the latest installment in id Software’s iconic first-person shooter series, which will be available as a day-one launch on Game Pass. As a Microsoft-owned game, this eagerly anticipated title promises to be a major draw for subscribers.

Starting today, May 6, subscribers can dive into Dredge (available on Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S) across Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard. This single-player fishing adventure with a sinister twist offers players the chance to explore a mysterious archipelago, sell their catch, upgrade their boat, and uncover long-buried secrets.

On May 7, a flurry of new games will join the service:

• Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 (Cloud, Console, and PC) on Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard.
• Dungeons of Hinterberg (Console) now on Game Pass Standard.
• Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn (Xbox Series X|S) now on Game Pass Standard.
• Metal Slug Tactics (Console) also now on Game Pass Standard.

May 8 brings two more exciting day-one releases:

• Revenge of the Savage Planet (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S) on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. In this futuristic adventure, players must explore, upgrade, and seek revenge on their former employer after being abandoned on the edge of space.
• Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants Unleashed (Cloud, Console, and PC) on Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard. Join the legendary Turtle brothers in this new adventure filled with crime-fighting and chaos.

On May 13, Warhammer: Vermintide 2 (Cloud and Console) returns to the Game Pass library on Game Pass Ultimate and Game Pass Standard. This 4-player co-op game set in the Warhammer Fantasy Battles world offers intense combat, new enemy factions, and expanded gameplay features.

The main event of the month, Doom: The Dark Ages (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S), launches on May 15 as a day-one title on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. This prequel to the modern Doom series takes players into a dark medieval war against Hell, with options for early access and additional content through the Premium Upgrade.

Following closely on May 16, Kulebra and the Souls of Limbo (Cloud, Console, and PC) will be available on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass as another day-one title. This papercraft adventure game introduces players to the intriguing world of Limbo, where souls are cursed to repeat the same day.

Finally, on May 20, the lineup concludes with Firefighting Simulator: The Squad and Police Simulator: Patrol Officers (both available on Cloud, Console, and PC) across Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard.
