Subnautica is now available on Android, allowing you to explore the enigmatic ocean world of Planet 4546B. Originally launched for PC by Unknown Worlds in 2018, this survival action-adventure game became a hit for its gorgeous underwater setting and deep survival gameplay.
You step into the shoes of Ryley Robinson, the only survivor of the crashed starship Aurora, stranded on an aquatic planet. There are no forests or deserts here—just vast expanses of ocean filled with alien life.
Your main challenges are managing oxygen, hunger, and thirst as you gather materials from coral reefs, volcanic vents, and underwater caverns.
Early on, you'll be focused on finding food and drinkable water, but later you'll develop advanced gear, pilot submersibles, and construct underwater habitats.
With help from an onboard 3D printer and an AI companion, each expedition brings you closer to uncovering the planet’s secrets—and finding a way home.
Along the way, you'll meet creatures like Crabsquid, Warpers, Mesmers, Bonesharks, Ampeels, Stalkers, and Crashfish. You may even encounter Leviathan-class giants such as the Reaper, Sea Dragon, and Ghost Leviathan.

The mobile version preserves the full open-world, first-person adventure. It includes multiple modes tailored to different play styles.
In Survival mode, you'll need to monitor hunger, thirst, and oxygen levels. Freedom mode removes the need for food and water, while Creative mode eliminates survival mechanics completely so you can focus on exploration.
The planet includes two islands for a change of scenery, along with a day-night cycle and regular eclipses that affect both mood and visibility.
Built for mobile, the game includes a custom touch interface, full controller support, Google Play Games achievements, and cloud saving to sync progress across Android devices.
Subnautica is currently on the Google Play Store with a 10% launch discount, reducing the price from $9.99 to $8.99. Also, check out our news on Galaxy Frontier 2's latest DLC, 'War for Humanity.'
