Saber Interactive has confirmed that all its previously announced games are still actively in development, despite the ongoing silence surrounding high-profile projects like the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic remake.
Following the recent announcement of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, Saber's Chief Creative Officer, Tim Willits, took to social media to reassure fans that every announced title is progressing. "Saber Interactive is one of the largest independent developers worldwide," Willits stated. "We are actively developing numerous games across various genres. Every project we have discussed remains in production. We will share details on upcoming titles when we have exciting news to reveal."

The most prominent subject of Willits' comments is undoubtedly the KOTOR remake, a project that has become one of gaming's most enigmatic. First announced in 2021, the highly anticipated remake has passed through multiple studios, reportedly halted and restarted development, and has yet to materialize after four years.
In April 2024, Saber Interactive CEO Matthew Karch confirmed the studio retained the rights to KOTOR following its separation from Embracer Group, and that development was continuing. "It's evident that we are working on this project," he said at the time. "It has been widely reported. What I can confirm is that the game is alive and well, and we are committed to delivering an experience that surpasses fan expectations."
Willits' latest statement, arriving nearly a year later, reinforces Karch's previous remarks. However, to date, no new footage or details for the KOTOR remake have been shown beyond the initial reveal trailer.
Saber has several other games in the pipeline, including titles slated for release this year. John Carpenter's Toxic Commando and Jurassic Park Survival are currently aiming for 2025, though neither has a confirmed launch date. The studio is also developing a new Turok game and an untitled project based on Avatar: The Last Airbender.
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 now joins that roster. For more insights, check out IGN's feature exploring which Space Marine chapters and enemy factions could appear in the upcoming sequel.
