Aspyr has unveiled a surprising addition to the upcoming Star Wars Episode 1: Jedi Power Battles re-release for modern consoles: the playable character, Jar Jar Binks! A new trailer showcases Jar Jar wielding a large staff in action-packed gameplay. This isn't the only new addition; Aspyr has revealed nine other new playable characters, with more to come.

The 2000 original Jedi Power Battles featured beloved characters and locations from Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace. This updated version aims to capture the original's charm while adding exciting new content. Along with customizable lightsaber colors and cheat code support, players will enjoy a significantly expanded roster. Jar Jar Binks is the latest character revealed, but certainly not the least surprising.

Aspyr's trailer shows Jar Jar Binks engaging enemies with his staff, delivering his signature chaotic dialogue. While some may have hoped for a "Darth Jar Jar" twist, this Jar Jar remains true to his comedic nature.
