The annual excitement of Star Wars Day is amplified by the flood of new toys and collectibles unveiled by companies like Hasbro, Sideshow, and Hot Toys. This year was no exception, offering a sneak peek at an array of upcoming items with price tags ranging from under $20 to over $1500. Let's be honest – being a Star Wars collector is a passion that certainly demands a deep pocket.

Hot Toys debuted a remarkable selection of 1:6 scale figures for Star Wars Day, including several major characters who, surprisingly, had never received the Hot Toys treatment until now. The undeniable standout is the Jar Jar Binks figure. Whether you adore him or despise him, this Jar Jar is uncannily screen-accurate. He even features seamless arm joints and two interchangeable face sculpts to recreate all his eccentric expressions.
Hot Toys is also addressing a significant gap in the Sequel Trilogy collection with the long-awaited Poe Dameron figure, appropriately outfitted in his Resistance X-Wing flight suit. Joining the lineup is another fan-favorite Republic Commando, Clone Commando Boss. Furthermore, the company's new line of animated figures inspired by Star Wars Rebels welcomes a Darth Vader to join the previously announced Stormtroopers.

Hasbro unveiled numerous additions to both its 6-inch Black Series and 3 3/4-inch Vintage Collection lines. The company continues to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Revenge of the Sith with new Black Series figures presented in packaging reminiscent of the original RotS toy line. The latest additions include Aayla Secura and a Magnaguard droid. Black Series collectors can also enhance their Imperial forces with a Rogue One-themed 2-pack featuring a Shoretrooper and a Death Trooper.
For the Vintage Collection, Hasbro is preparing several intriguing multi-pack releases. The "Stormtroopers of the Empire 3-Pack" includes a Snowtrooper, Scout Trooper, and Sandtrooper. The "Cantina Adventure 4-Pack" brings together four aliens from the iconic Mos Eisley Cantina scene: Hammerhead, Walrus Man, Greedo, and Snaggletooth. This set will pair perfectly with Hasbro's crowd-funded Mos Eisley Cantina playset.
Lastly, Star Wars prop collectors will be thrilled to learn that a new ForceFX Elite lightsaber, modeled after the weapon used by Ezra Bridger in Rebels, is currently in development.

Sideshow Collectibles was equally impressive, presenting a diverse array of figures, statues, and art prints. The undeniable centerpiece of their Star Wars Day showcase is the Luke Skywalker: Red Five, Standing By Premium Format Figure. This massive 1:4 scale, mixed-media statue depicts Luke in his X-Wing flight suit, ascending the ladder to his trusted starfighter. What truly sets this piece apart – and justifies its premium price – is Sideshow's inclusion of a meticulously sculpted section of the X-Wing, creating the illusion of the ship suspended in mid-air.
Sideshow is also expanding its own 1:6 scale figure line while distributing Hot Toys' products. Their focus is on the "Scum and Villainy" series, which spotlights the myriad aliens and creatures often overlooked by Hot Toys. The second wave of Scum and Villainy figures centers on characters from Jabba's Palace in Return of the Jedi, such as Bib Fortuna, Klaatu, and Vizam.
Finally, Sideshow showcased the latest 1:10 scale statue from Iron Studios, a smaller version of their 1:4 scale Darth Vader piece. Inspired by The Empire Strikes Back, this statue retains its powerful presence even at the reduced scale.
