Spotify Down: Users Report Outage

Heads up: the popular music streaming service Spotify encountered an outage this morning.

According to Downdetector, reports of Spotify outages started around 6 a.m. PT today, and at the time of writing, the issues were still ongoing. We at IGN also experienced difficulties accessing the service throughout the morning. When we managed to open the app, it failed to play any music.

Spotify has officially acknowledged the problem and is actively working to resolve it as quickly as possible. They have also debunked rumors suggesting the outage was due to a security hack.
