South Park Season 27 Release Date Revealed in Topical Trailer

The boys are back in town, and by the boys, we mean the iconic quartet from South Park: Stan, Kyle, Kenny, and Cartman. Fans of the animated series have much to look forward to as Season 27 gears up to tackle the current state of affairs in their signature irreverent style.

South Park unveiled a trailer for the eagerly anticipated season, cleverly playing a trick on viewers by initially setting the tone for a dramatic series. The trailer features intense editing and suspenseful music, setting an ominous atmosphere. However, the mood shifts when Randy and Shelley Marsh appear, with Randy asking Shelley if she's been using drugs, suggesting it could help her. The scene is humorously set in Shelley's room with a Wicked movie poster in the background.

South Park Season 27 is set to premiere on Wednesday, July 9th, 2025. Following the initial gag, the trailer teases a series filled with high-stakes action and topical events, including multiple plane crashes, the toppling of the Statue of Liberty, an appearance by P. Diddy, and yet another conflict with Canada—a plotline fans might have seen coming, especially if they're familiar with the 1999 movie, South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut.

The upcoming season arrives over two years after the conclusion of Season 26, with the show having released three specials in the interim: "South Park: Joining the Panderverse" and "South Park (Not Suitable For Children)" in 2023, followed by "South Park: The End of Obesity" in 2024.

As South Park celebrates its 25th anniversary since its debut on Comedy Central in 1997, the series continues to captivate audiences with its unique blend of humor and social commentary.
