Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Adds SpongeBob, Avatar, TMNT

Earlier this month, Sega unveiled exciting guest characters coming to Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds - including Hatsune Miku, Yakuza's Ichiban Kasuga, Persona 5's Joker, plus Minecraft's Steve, Alex, and Creeper. The crossover surprises don't end there: Nickelodeon's SpongeBob SquarePants joins the roster, with hints of Avatar and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles characters arriving later.

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds combines Sega's rich character legacy with thrilling kart racing action. The Digital Deluxe Edition offers additional value, bundling a Season Pass that includes the Nickelodeon content, Minecraft-themed racers/tracks, Sonic Prime characters from Netflix, plus two unannounced future collaborations.

The latest gameplay trailer spotlights SpongeBob and Patrick Star speeding through Bikini Bottom in their iconic Patty Wagon vehicle - a hamburger-shaped kart perfectly capturing the show's whimsical charm.

With DLC included, CrossWorlds boasts an impressive lineup exceeding characters. Alongside Sonic universe staples like Tails and Dr. Eggman, players can now race as unexpected additions like SpongeBob.

The September release positions CrossWorlds directly against Nintendo's Mario Kart World, creating renewed competition between these iconic franchises. Notably, Sega's offering will launch across both Switch generations while featuring bolder crossover content.
