PlayWay has brought their intriguing PC and console game, Ship Graveyard Simulator, to the Android platform. In this unique game, you take on the role of a salvage yard owner. Excitingly, a sequel is in the works for PS5 and Xbox Series.
In Ship Graveyard Simulator, your mission is clear: dismantle decommissioned ships. You start your journey with a hammer and hacksaw, navigating through the rusty remains of colossal cargo ships. Your task is to break these ships down piece by piece, salvaging valuable materials to keep your business thriving.
As you progress and level up, you'll take on larger challenges, such as ordering in gigantic ocean liners. These ships present a maze of complex passages and blocked areas, requiring strategic planning and upgraded tools to navigate effectively.
The gameplay loop involves breaking down ship parts, collecting materials, selling off what you don't need, and repeating the process. When you're ready for a new challenge, simply head to your shack, place an order for a new vessel, and wait until 8 a.m. for its arrival.
Starting with basic tools like a hammer and hacksaw, you'll unlock new tiers of equipment as you advance. This includes a forge for crafting and a storage specialist to expand your inventory. You'll even gain access to a truck with its own mini-inventory, enhancing your salvage operations.
Adjacent to your shop, a vendor stands ready to purchase any excess materials, providing you with additional income. Dive deeper into the game with the trailer below:
While the core gameplay centers around dismantling ships, Ship Graveyard Simulator also offers side quests. You can engage in tasks from people along the shoreline, such as retrieving specific materials or crafting particular items.
Keep in mind, Ship Graveyard Simulator isn't a highly complex simulation. It's designed more as a relaxing experience where you can unwind while methodically taking apart massive ships at your own pace.
