Square Enix has released SaGa Frontier 2 Remastered across mobile and other platforms. First launched on PlayStation in 1999 in Japan and 2000 in North America and Europe, this remaster delivers upgraded graphics and fresh content.

Set in the mystical world of Sandail, SaGa Frontier 2 revolves around a magical force called Anima. The narrative follows two protagonists: Gustave, a royal lacking magical ability, and William Knights, a young adventurer from a family of relic hunters seeking ancient artifacts known as Quells.

Gustave’s journey begins with his exile from the Kingdom of Finney due to his inability to wield Anima, a critical skill in his realm. Meanwhile, Wil’s quest focuses on uncovering the truth behind his parents’ demise and a mysterious relic called the Egg, which manipulates minds.

SaGa Frontier 2 Remastered features sharper, high-resolution graphics, with its signature watercolor backgrounds now vividly enhanced. The user interface has been revamped for smoother navigation while preserving the game’s nostalgic charm.

What’s New in the Remaster?

New storylines have been seamlessly integrated into the original narrative. The combat system blends turn-based strategy with three distinct modes: Party Battles, Duels, and Warfare.
