Rainbow Six Siege X is set to launch in June 2025 for both home console and PC players, following its current closed beta phase. Ubisoft describes this update as the most significant content revamp in Rainbow Six Siege history. The closed beta introduces the Dual Front game mode, featuring intense 6-on-6 team battles. This mode offers larger maps, requiring strategic coordination for attacking and defending multiple areas. Alongside Dual Front, Siege X will revamp existing maps, enhance the user interface, improve technical presentation, and refine the online matchmaking system, making it more welcoming for new players.

On March 13, 2025, Ubisoft released a gameplay trailer for Rainbow Six Siege X to coincide with the start of its closed beta test. The trailer showcases the excitement of the Dual Front mode and its new map, highlighting the 6-on-6 gameplay. Additionally, Siege X offers free-to-play access to attract new players.

The Rainbow Six Siege X closed beta runs from March 13 to March 19, available to select partner players on Twitch. Viewers have the opportunity to earn access codes by watching these streams during the beta period. To participate, players must link their Twitch account to their Ubisoft Connect account. Notably, owning Rainbow Six Siege is not required to join the Siege X closed beta.

Ubisoft has detailed the closed beta on their website, but there are no plans announced for further beta testing, including an open beta, before the full release of Siege X in June. Rainbow Six Siege is poised to make its most ambitious leap forward since its debut a decade ago, continuing Ubisoft's tradition of delivering engaging games inspired by Tom Clancy's works.
