If you've ever wondered how a newly elected Pope spends their free time, wonder no more. According to a close family member, Pope Leo XIV, who was recently chosen to lead the Catholic Church, enjoys indulging in casual pastimes just like the rest of us. The Pope apparently spends his downtime playing games and catching up on the latest films.
As we previously highlighted, Edward Berger's gripping papal drama, Conclave, captivated audiences last year. Its realistic depiction of the intricate process of electing a new Pope even caught the attention of real-life religious figures, including those involved in this month's conclave that led to the selection of Pope Leo XIV. Among them was Robert Francis Prevost, now known as Pope Leo XIV.

In an interview with NBC, the Pope's older brother, John Prevost, offered insights into their recent conversations. He mentioned that they often bond over popular word games such as Wordle and Words with Friends, revealing that Pope Leo XIV is an avid gamer. The brothers engage in these games daily, providing a lighthearted escape from the pressures of their respective roles.
John Prevost recounted a conversation where he encouraged his younger brother to watch Conclave for insights into the conclave process. "He had just finished watching the movie Conclave," John revealed. "So he knew how to behave. It's that kind of casual talk we share — I just wanted to keep his spirits up and laugh about something."
Directed by Edward Berger, the critically acclaimed *Conclave* delves into one of the world's most secretive and historic events: the selection of a new Pope. Following Cardinal Lawrence, played by Ralph Fiennes, the film explores the complex dynamics among the Church's elite as they navigate political intrigue and uncover a shocking secret that could redefine the faith.
