Pokémon GO: Black & White Kyurem Debut Globally

Embark on an icy adventure with the arrival of Black Kyurem and White Kyurem in the Pokémon Go Tour: Unova – Global event (February 24th to March 2nd)! These legendary Pokémon bring brand-new Adventure Effects to simplify your catching endeavors.

Black Kyurem's Freeze Shock, an electrically charged ice attack, immobilizes wild Pokémon for 10 minutes, making them significantly easier to catch. White Kyurem's Ice Burn slows down the target ring during encounters, boosting your chances of landing Excellent Throws. Both effects are extendable in 10-minute increments, up to a maximum of two hours at a time, and a total of 24 hours.

Harness the power of Fusion! Challenge Black Kyurem and White Kyurem in five-star raids to collect Fusion Energy. Fusing Zekrom or Reshiram with a Kyurem knowing Glaciate will replace Glaciate with Freeze Shock or Ice Burn respectively. Remember, this change is temporary; the move reverts to Glaciate upon separation. These moves cannot be learned via Charged TMs or Elite Charged TMs.

Choose your path! Select either the Black Version (Reshiram) or White Version (Zekrom) event badge. Black Version rewards include Reshiram-themed Special Research and Kyurem encounters knowing Glaciate after defeating Black Kyurem. White Version grants Zekrom-themed Special Research and Kyurem encounters knowing Glaciate after defeating White Kyurem.
