How to Get Dhelmise in Pokemon GO

The only way for Pokemon GO players to get Dhelmise is by participating in 3-Star Raids featuring the Sea Creeper Pokemon as the boss during the Beloved Buddies event. This means you'll need to defeat Dhelmise in these Raids to have a chance to catch it.

Dhelmise’s Weaknesses & Resistances

Dhelmise is a Grass- and Ghost-type Pokemon in Pokemon GO, making it vulnerable to Fire-, Dark-, Ice-, Ghost-, and Flying-type attacks. These attacks will deal 160% super-effective damage.

On the other hand, Dhelmise is 63% resistant to Grass-, Water-, Electric-, and Ground-type attacks, and 39% resistant to Fighting and Normal-type moves.

Can Dhelmise Be Shiny?

No, Dhelmise cannot be Shiny in Pokemon GO at this time. When you defeat it in a 3-Star Raid, you won't encounter a Shiny variant. New Pokemon typically don't have their Shiny forms available immediately upon introduction. A Shiny Dhelmise might be introduced in a future event, such as a dedicated Community Day.

Beloved Buddies Dates & Times

To maximize your experience, start playing the Beloved Buddies event as soon as it begins in Pokemon GO on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at 10:00 AM until Saturday, February 15 at 8:00 PM local time. This information was confirmed in the event's announcement on the Pokemon GO website.

Increased Wild Spawns During Beloved Buddies

During the Beloved Buddies event, Pokemon GO players will encounter a variety of friendship-themed Pokemon appearing more frequently in the wild:

• Cutiefly
• Diglett
• Dunsparce
• Fomantis
• Illumise
• Mantine
• Minun
• Nidoran♀
• Nidoran♂
• Plusle
• Remoraid
• Shellder
• Slowpoke
• Volbeat

All of these Pokemon have a chance to be Shiny, with increased odds for Shiny Dunsparce and Diglett. However, the Shiny odds for the other Pokemon will remain at the standard rate of 1 in 512. Utilize tools like Lure Modules and Incenses to boost spawns and increase your chances of encountering a Shiny.

Beloved Buddies Bonuses In Pokemon GO

The Beloved Buddies event offers several bonuses to enhance your gameplay, including:

• Double XP when catching any Pokemon
• Lure Modules lasting for 60 minutes
• Lure Modules attracting event-themed Pokemon such as Diglett, Slowpoke, Shellder, Dunsparce, Cutiefly, and Fomantis
• +500 Stardust for every caught Diglett, Slowpoke, Shellder, Dunsparce, Cutiefly, and Fomantis

Raid Bosses During Beloved Buddies

In addition to Dhelmise, the Beloved Buddies event features various Raid bosses at different levels. Below is a table detailing the Raid bosses and their Shiny availability:

Shiny encounter rates are higher for some Raid bosses, such as Mega Tyranitar with odds of 1 in 128, and Legendary Pokemon like Enamorus with odds of 1 in 20. However, since Shiny Incarnate Enamorus is not available during Beloved Buddies, these odds won't apply.

Field Research Tasks

Beloved Buddies will include limited-time Field Research tasks, such as catching specific event-themed Pokemon, in exchange for rewards like Stardust and encounters with Tandemaus. Specific tasks will be updated as soon as they're announced.

Collection Challenges

Like other Pokemon GO events, Beloved Buddies will feature Collection Challenges, tasking players with collecting most or all of the event's featured Pokemon. Details on which Pokemon and rewards will be part of the challenge will be updated on the event's start date, February 11.

PokéStop Showcases

The Beloved Buddies event will also host PokéStop Showcases, where you can enter your event-themed Pokemon for a chance to win rewards like XP, Stardust, and exclusive bonuses. Details will be updated as soon as they are available.
