Pokémon Go has introduced a new Premier Access ticket upgrade for its upcoming Go Fest 2025 event in Jersey City, offering players exclusive in-game items and enhanced real-world amenities — including what Niantic describes as "upgraded restrooms."
Comparable to a Business Class upgrade, the Premier Access tier grants attendees access to a dedicated lounge area featuring improved facilities such as upgraded restrooms, portable charging kiosks with lockers, and designated seating areas to relax and recharge between gameplay sessions. While details on exactly how these restrooms are “upgraded” remain vague, it’s clear that they offer a step above standard facilities available to general admission guests.
Another key benefit includes fast-track entry into the event’s Pokémon Center Pop-Up Store, allowing Premier Access holders to bypass lines and make quicker purchases of exclusive merchandise. This perk comes in handy considering how crowded the store typically gets during Go Fest events, where waiting in line can cut into valuable time for catching featured Pokémon.

The most compelling aspect of the Premier Access upgrade, however, lies in the extensive collection of in-game items it includes. For $100, players receive a generous bundle that would otherwise cost hundreds of dollars if purchased individually. The package features:
This suite of items offers serious value for frequent players looking to boost their progress or stock up on essential resources. However, the announcement has sparked mixed reactions within the community. Some fans expressed surprise at the high price point, noting that Pokémon Go hasn’t historically offered such premium-priced upgrades. Others argue that given the game’s increasing monetization options, the package could appeal to dedicated players who are already planning to attend the event and may see this as a worthwhile investment.
Niantic has not yet confirmed whether similar Premier Access upgrades will be made available for the Paris or Osaka editions of Go Fest 2025. IGN has reached out to the developer for comment.
Pokémon Go Fest 2025 will occur over three weekends:
This year’s event will spotlight the Legendary Pokémon Volcanion, alongside the wider release of the Mexican regional exclusive Hawlucha, making it an exciting opportunity for trainers to complete their Pokédex and enjoy a weekend full of in-game and real-world activities.
