People Can Fly, renowned for developing Bulletstorm and co-developing Gears of War: E-Day, has entered into a new agreement with Sony Interactive Entertainment. This deal involves the creation of a new game, codenamed Project Delta, which will be developed as a work-for-hire project. While the specifics of Project Delta remain under wraps, this collaboration marks another exciting venture for the studio.

The studio is currently juggling multiple projects, each with its own codename. Among these are Project Gemini with Square Enix, which unfortunately saw a reduction of 30 developers last year, Project Echo with Krafton, Project Red, which also appears to be in partnership with Sony, and the VR project, Project Bison. Just yesterday, People Can Fly announced that Project Bison would be their final foray into virtual reality.

In recent months, People Can Fly has made several adjustments to its project lineup. Last December, they suspended work on Project Victoria and scaled down efforts on Project Bifrost. Additionally, in April, the studio announced the cancellation of Project Dagger, an action-adventure title that was being developed in collaboration with Take-Two Interactive.

Despite these changes, People Can Fly remains busy with a total of eight known projects in development. One of these is the highly anticipated Gears of War: E-Day, created in partnership with The Coalition, though a release date has yet to be announced. Meanwhile, Project Gemini, the game developed with Square Enix, is slated for a 2026 release.
