Netflix to Launch Clash of Clans Animated Series

Netflix and Supercell have officially announced plans to transform the Clash gaming franchise into an animated television series set in the Clash of Clans and Clash Royale universes.

Currently in pre-production, the series promises to "capture the chaotic spirit of the games," according to Netflix's announcement. The storyline will center around "an ambitious yet overwhelmed Barbarian who must unite a colorful crew of misfits to protect their village while navigating the hilarious complexities of wartime politics."

The Clash of Clans social media team joined the celebration with playful enthusiasm. Their announcement post read: "Sound the alarms, hoist the flags, and fortify your defenses – Clash is storming @Netflix!" accompanied by a charming teaser featuring Supercell developers playfully breaking the news during a group video call. "Prepare for animated adventures starring your beloved mustachioed Barbarian and his squeaky-voiced Hog Rider companions!"

Netflix executives expressed equal excitement about translating the gaming phenomenon to animation. John Derderian, VP of Animation, stated: "Clash has dominated mobile gaming for more than ten years with its perfect blend of humor, action and iconic characters – ideal ingredients for animated storytelling."

"Through our collaboration with Supercell's talented team and showrunners Fletcher Moules and Ron Weiner, we're recreating Clash's signature mayhem with fresh creative energy," Derderian continued. "This adaptation will delight both long-time fans and newcomers alike."

While production continues on Netflix's Clash series (without a confirmed release date yet), the streaming giant continues expanding its gaming adaptation portfolio.
