Exciting developments are emerging from the *Mortal Kombat 1* community, as a recent datamine suggests that Hara-Kiri Fatalities may be making a return—potentially in the form of Quitalities. These self-inflicted finishers, first introduced in *Mortal Kombat: Deception* back in 2004, allow the losing player to end their own match dramatically, adding a unique twist to the iconic Fatality system.

Redditor InfiniteNightZ shared a video showcasing what appear to be Hara-Kiri animations within *Mortal Kombat 1*. The post quickly gained attention for not only confirming the presence of these animations but also revealing that they were found for recently added DLC characters like Ghostface. This discovery fuels speculation that NetherRealm Studios might be planning to officially implement them through a future update rather than leaving them unused in the game’s code.

InfiniteNightZ noted that these animations are labeled as “Quitalities” within the game files—a nod to the quick finishers that activate when a player exits a multiplayer match. While not yet confirmed by NetherRealm, this could signal a revival of the Quitalities mechanic seen in earlier entries of the franchise. “They are listed as Quitalities, there's still hope,” InfiniteNightZ commented, keeping fan expectations alive.

Following the initial discovery, prominent *Mortal Kombat 1* dataminer Interloko uncovered additional Hara-Kiri animations that were missing from the original video. In a follow-up tweet, he indicated that most characters now have these animations coded, with only Omniman and Conan appearing to lack them at this time.

While none of these findings have been officially confirmed by NetherRealm or Warner Bros. Games, they do add fuel to the growing excitement around potential new features and updates for *Mortal Kombat 1*. The game has already seen renewed interest thanks to the viral challenge involving the secret pink ninja, Floyd, and his unlock conditions. Looking ahead, fans can also [ttpp] look forward to the T-1000 guest character, with more DLC rumored to be on the way.
