Portraying one of the most legendary characters in the Game of Thrones saga didn't come easily for Milly Alcock. The Australian star, known for her performance as young Rhaenyra Targaryen in HBO's House of the Dragon, shared how a high-ranking production member suggested acting coaching after just her second day on set.
"During my second day filming House of the Dragon, a top executive—who shall remain unnamed—took me aside and said, 'We're arranging an acting coach for you,'" Alcock recalled on The Tonight Show, describing the moment as utterly humiliating.
The Critics Choice-nominated actress laughed about how the experience grounded her immediately. "It validated every self-doubt I've ever had—that maybe I'm terrible at this," she joked. "I remember thinking, 'I'm not cut out for this. What a disaster!'"
Alcock, who will debut as Supergirl in upcoming DC films after her breakout role as Viserys Targaryen's heir in Season 1 and her Season 2 guest appearance, shares the character with Emma D'Arcy portraying the adult princess-turned-queen.

The prequel debuted in August 2022, three years post-Game of Thrones finale, earning a Season 2 renewal within days and securing Season 3 approval in June 2024—all before Season 2's premiere. The series also clinched the Golden Globe for Best Drama Television.
While Season 3 confirmation stands firm, HBO has yet to announce its official release window.
