As a mid-sized monster, most weapons are effective against it, but given its area-of-effect attacks, ranged weapons might be more comfortable for less confident hunters.

Key weaknesses include Water, with no resistances noted, and an immunity to Sonic Bombs. When it comes to its attacks, be wary of the tail strikes and sweeps, especially the heavy-hitting tail slam where the Quematrice raises its tail high before slamming it down. Dodge or block to avoid this. However, the real threat comes from its fire attacks. These not only cause immediate damage but can ignite you, causing ongoing health drain, and even set the ground ablaze.
