Crafting Your Fishing Rod

To start fishing, craft a Fishing Rod at the Supplies Workbench. You’ll need these materials:

  • 20 Logs: Collected by chopping trees.
  • 10 Copper Ingots: Crafted by smelting Copper Ore with Charcoal in a furnace.

Unlock the Essential Tools in the Crafting section of your Memetics menu to access the Supplies Workbench. Press ‘F’ to queue the Fishing Rod for crafting. The crafting duration will appear in the lower-left corner of your menu. Once complete, retrieve the rod from the workbench.

Top Fishing Spots in Once Human

Certain areas in Once Human yield better fishing results:

  • Wild Dog Isle: Home to a diverse range of fish species.
  • Brookham Dock: A favorite for reliable catches.
  • Harborside Bridge: Ideal for both freshwater and saltwater fish.
  • Greywater Camp: A quiet spot with varied fish types.
  • Holt Town Decking: Perfect for snagging rare fish.
  • Chalk Peak: High-altitude waters with unique species.

Storing Your Fish Properly

Like other perishables in Once Human, fish have a limited shelf life. Extend their freshness by storing them in a refrigerator or using a Meat Drier to preserve them indefinitely. Another option is to display fish on a Specimen Rack, keeping them fresh and edible while mounted, though only one fish can be displayed at a time. Alternatively, a Fish Tank can store multiple fish, with a capacity of four, depending on their size.

Enhance your Once Human experience by playing on a larger PC or laptop screen with BlueStacks, complete with keyboard and mouse support!
