Lies of P: Overture Unveiled at Sony State of Play 2025

Exciting news for fans of the souls-like action RPG Lies of P—a prequel titled Lies of P: Overture has been announced. Revealed during Sony’s State of Play 2025 broadcast, this eagerly awaited DLC expansion is set to launch in the summer of 2025 on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. Lies of P, which reimagines the classic tale of Pinocchio with Bloodborne-style gameplay, received high praise upon its release, earning an 8/10 from IGN. Our review stated: “Lies of P might not branch out particularly far from its soulslike inspiration, but it plays the part extremely well.”

As the Puppet Frenzy massacre looms, you'll follow a Legendary Stalker, a mysterious guide, through untold stories and chilling secrets. Playing as Geppetto’s deadly puppet, you'll navigate Krat and its surroundings, uncovering hidden backstories and facing epic battles that shape the past and future of Lies of P.

Publisher Neowiz had already teased the game’s first DLC and confirmed plans for a sequel. Lies of P achieved significant success, selling one million copies within a month of its launch on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, PC via Steam, and Mac via the Mac App Store on September 18, 2023.
