Liam Hemsworth Debuts as Geralt in 'The Witcher' Season 5 Set Photos

The iconic White Wolf is making his final appearance in The Witcher Season 5, as production is now underway. Fans have been treated to new photos of Liam Hemsworth stepping into the role of Geralt de Rivia, alongside other beloved and new characters. These images, which appear to have been leaked and are available on the Witcher fan site Redanian Intelligence, showcase Hemsworth in full Geralt costume, complete with the character's signature long blonde hair. Familiar faces such as Meng'er Zhang as Milva and Joey Batey as Jaskier, who have been part of the series since Henry Cavill's tenure, are also seen in the photos. Hemsworth's casting was announced in October 2022, taking over from Cavill starting with Season 4 and continuing through the fifth and final season.

Additionally, set images have surfaced featuring new characters introduced in Season 4, who will carry over into the final season. Among them is the legendary actor Laurence Fishburne, known for his role in Morbius, who will portray Emiel Reigs.

Based on these leaked set photos, fans are speculating that Season 5 might draw inspiration from Andrzej Sapkowski's Tower of the Swallow, where Geralt encounters beekeepers who guide him toward druids. However, with Season 4 yet to be released, the narrative could take any turn, leaving plenty of room for speculation and anticipation.

Henry Cavill isn't the only cast member to depart the series. Kim Bodnia, who played Geralt's father figure and mentor Vesemir, will not return for Season 4 due to scheduling conflicts. Netflix has not yet announced Bodnia's replacement for the role, and an official release date for Season 4 remains undisclosed.
