Kamitsubaki City Ensemble: A Post-Apocalyptic Rhythm Game Set to Launch

Studio Lalala's upcoming rhythm game, Kamitsubaki City Ensemble, is poised to launch on August 29th, 2024. Available on Android, iOS, PC, Switch, and other consoles for a budget-friendly $3 (440 Yen), this title promises a unique blend of rhythm gameplay and post-apocalyptic storytelling.

A World Rebuilt Through Music

The game unfolds in a world ravaged by destruction, where the hope for restoration rests on the shoulders of AI girls. These survivors embark on a mission to revive melodies and, in turn, rebuild their shattered world. As players progress, the narrative surrounding the apocalypse and the AI girls' existence will gradually unravel. Players actively participate in uncovering the truth and aiding the girls' musical journey of world-rebuilding.

Gameplay and Features

Kamitsubaki City Ensemble features five AI girls and five witches, each contributing to the vibrant rhythm experience. Players will groove to the beat across four difficulty levels (easy, normal, hard, and pro), starting with four lanes and escalating to a challenging seven.

The core game boasts 48 songs, with a season pass offering a steady influx of new tracks. The soundtrack is a curated collection of hits from Kamitsubaki Studio and the Musical Isotope series, including fan favorites like "Devour the Past," "Carnivorous Plant," "Sirius's Heart," and "Terra."
