Exciting developments are on the horizon for fans of *The Lion King* at Disneyland Paris, as new images and details have been released for an upcoming attraction set to begin construction in Fall 2025. As reported by Disney Parks Blog, this will be the first-ever land and attraction themed to *The Lion King*, and it's poised to be a major highlight of the revamped Walt Disney Studios Park, soon to be renamed Disney Adventure World.
The new water ride will immerse guests in the iconic scenes from the beloved 1994 film, complemented by a stunning 120-foot-high Pride Rock centerpiece. The land will also offer a plethora of dining options, shopping experiences, character meet-and-greets, and more, ensuring a rich and engaging experience for visitors.
Disney has released a captivating concept image of the ride, showcasing Audio-Animatronics of young Simba, Timon, and Pumbaa enjoying a meal in a lush jungle setting. This is just one highlight of the ride, which will also feature an exhilarating 52-foot drop, making it slightly taller than Tiana's Bayou Adventure.
While an exact opening date hasn't been announced, the ride is expected to open following the launch of World of Frozen in 2026. This attraction will be a key component of the expanded Disney Adventure World, which will be twice the size of the current park.
In addition to *The Lion King* ride and World of Frozen, guests can look forward to the previously announced Raiponce Tangled Spin, where Mandy Moore will reprise her role as Rapunzel. Another exciting addition is the first-ever *Up*-themed attraction, described as a "spinning carousel" offering breathtaking views of the park's scenery.
The World Premiere, set to open on May 15, 2025, will serve as the new park entrance, designed to emulate a glamorous Hollywood premiere. Adjacent to it, the World Premiere Plaza, inspired by Broadway and the West End, will feature theaters hosting shows like *TOGETHER: A Pixar Musical Adventure*, *Mickey and the Magician*, and *Frozen: A Musical Invitation*.
