As shared in their recent X (formerly Twitter) post, Hades 2 has now been in early access for a year, starting from May 6, 2024. Supergiant Games celebrated this milestone by expressing gratitude to their fans and hinting at an approaching full release.

Their post stated, "It's been incredibly exciting and eye-opening as we've worked to realize the potential so many of you see in our game. Thank you for all your feedback and patience as we get closer to the finish line!"

The original Hades also underwent a similar early access journey, which lasted 22 months before its full release. However, Supergiant Games aims to bring Hades 2 to its full release sooner, with an initial time-exclusive launch on the Nintendo Switch 2.

Launching First on the Nintendo Switch 2

During a Nintendo’s Creator’s Voice video series, Supergiant Games announced that Hades 2 will debut on the Nintendo Switch 2. With the Switch 2 set to launch on June 5, Hades 2 could be available around that time.

As the sequel to the beloved rogue-like game, Hades 2 has captured the hearts of fans. This marks the first sequel Supergiant Games has ever developed, a process they approached with "a great deal of fear and respect."
