Completing main quests in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2* can be quite the challenge, especially when you're sneaking through unfamiliar areas under a ticking clock. Here's your guide to navigating the quest "For Whom the Bell Tolls," which picks up right after "Wedding Crashers."

The quest "For Whom the Bell Tolls" unfolds in Trosky, where Hans faces execution once the bell tolls 12 times. Fortunately, Henry is spared imprisonment and instead tasked with labor around the castle, providing him a narrow window to save Hans.

Your first task is non-negotiable: haul sacks from the wagon to the shed near the fenced area. Simply take a sack, deliver it to the shed, and repeat until the task is complete.

Next, assist the blacksmith by crafting a horseshoe. Head to the forge area through the archway opposite the blacksmith. Gather the necessary materials and craft the horseshoe. Once the blacksmith approves, take it to the stables down the same path you used for hauling sacks.

After delivering the horseshoe, it's time to aid Hans. Return to the forge, grab the lockpick from the red pot on the shelves, and speak with Fanka, the cook nearby. By offering to help her, you gain access to the noble's kitchen. Follow Fanka there; helping her with the lockpick can boost your reputation and secure future food access.

Upon entering the kitchen, you'll notice the chamberlain in distress. Engage him and try to convince him to let you brew a Digestive Potion. Success grants you access to the surgeon's workshop; failure requires you to sneak in.

If you couldn't persuade the chamberlain, you'll need to use food from the kitchen to distract the guard near the non-noble's kitchen. Head up the stairs opposite the forge to find this kitchen, then proceed upstairs to the hall with the surgeon's workshop on the right. Craft the Fever Tonicum and, if possible, a Digestive Potion using the ingredients found in the chest.

If you've helped the chamberlain, return to him with the Digestive Potion to gain access to Thomas' room. If sneaking, use a different route: head back to the noble's kitchen, ascend the stairs while crouched, and avoid guards. Distract the guard at the base of the stairs leading to Thomas' room with a pebble, then sneak past him. Once you reach Thomas, give the Fever Tonicum to Adele, his sister, to trigger the quest's concluding cutscene.
By following these steps, you'll successfully navigate "For Whom the Bell Tolls" in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. Helping Thomas before the bell tolls 12 times boosts your reputation, though the quest's outcome remains the same regardless.
