In *Monster Hunter Wilds*, Sharp Fangs are a crucial crafting resource that you can start collecting early in your adventure. Whether you're looking to craft beginner-tier gear like Chatacabra and Talioth armor, this guide will help you efficiently farm Sharp Fangs in the expansive world of *Monster Hunter Wilds*.

How To Get Sharp Fang in Monster Hunter Wilds

Sharp Fangs can be found by exploring the Windward Plains at the beginning of the game's story. To begin your hunt, take on one of the initial optional quests like "Beware the Chatacabra" or "The Desert is Demanding," which will lead you to the Windward Plains with a generous 50-minute time limit. It's wise to prepare by cooking and eating a meal before you set out on your journey.

Once you arrive, head east to Area 8, the largest area on the map, where you'll encounter various smaller monsters. While several of these creatures can drop Sharp Fangs, your primary target should be the Gaijos.

Gaijos

Gaijos are small leviathan monsters that resemble crocodiles with unique snouts, often found near or in riverbeds, typically alone. You can spot them on the interactive map by looking for purple diamonds near water sources.

Approach a Gaijos location and use your equipped weapon to swiftly defeat these creatures, as they have less health than other regional monsters. After defeating a Gaijos, carve its carcass to obtain 1 x Sharp Fang. Gaijos are guaranteed to drop Sharp Fangs, making them a prime target for farming. There are typically four to five Gaijos in the Windward Plains upon entering the region, and you can re-enter via any of the optional quests to farm more if needed.

Talioth

Another small monster in the Windward Plains that can drop Sharp Fangs, though not guaranteed, is the Talioth. These bipedal creatures roam in small packs in Areas 8 and sometimes 13. They are slightly tougher than Gaijos but still manageable with starter weapons.

While Talioth carcasses might yield other items like Talioth Scales, there's also a chance for Sharp Fangs to drop. Additionally, hunting Talioths can help you complete the "The Desert is Demanding" optional quest, which requires you to kill 8 Talioths.
