Genshin Impact 5.5 Update Brings Android Controller Support

Genshin Impact on Android now supports controllers with the Version 5.5 update. This long-awaited feature, available since 2021 for iOS users, arrives soon for a smoother gaming experience.

When Does Android Controller Support Launch for Genshin Impact?

From March 26, 2025, connect your Android device to a controller to navigate Genshin Impact without touchscreen controls. The update supports four Bluetooth controllers: DualShock 4, DualSense, Xbox Wireless Controller, and Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2.

Besides controller support, Version 5.5 introduces quality-of-life enhancements, including seamless cross-scene quest tracking. Open the map and teleport directly to your quest destination.

Updated boss guides will assist new players in mastering enemy mechanics. Optimizations for the Artifact system, Serenitea Pot, and Mail system are also included, with full details to be shared during the Special Program Announcement on March 14.
