Your CODE level unlocks additional Entitlements, streamlining gameplay by granting perks like extended sprinting stamina or upgrading allies and equipment to better combat Abductors. Progressing through multiple CODE tiers is essential—here’s how many you’ll encounter.

Freedom Wars Remastered features eight CODE levels for players to advance through. Once you upgrade your CODE level, you can’t regress, so you don’t need to worry about accidentally increasing your sentence beyond what’s required—even in Deadly Sinner Mode. Each CODE rank-up unlocks new Entitlements and additional operations to tackle.

How to Raise Your CODE Level in Freedom Wars Remastered

Speak to your Accessory in your cell and select "Check CODE Upgrade Conditions." Typically, you’ll need to reduce your sentence to a specific year threshold while also unlocking certain Entitlements. Review this menu regularly to prioritize upgrades—spending Entitlement Points impulsively may force you to donate resources later to replenish them.

Donating just one high-tier resource or weapon often provides enough points for multiple Entitlements.

While fulfilling all listed requirements is necessary for a CODE rank-up, your progression is also tied to the main story. You must complete key missions and operations alongside these conditions to pass the CODE exam, which is integrated into the narrative. Occasionally, major story milestones may automatically fulfill CODE exam prerequisites.

Operations are categorized by CODE level, serving as difficulty indicators. Most missions align with story progression for your current CODE tier, though optional operations sometimes unlock afterward to help players who need additional preparation for tougher challenges.
