Remedy has exciting news for fans of the Control universe, announcing that FBC: Firebreak will launch on June 17, 2025. This new game is a session-based, multiplayer PvE experience that brings players together to tackle replayable missions called Jobs. Each Job presents unique challenges, objectives, and environments, demanding teamwork and adaptability from players.

FBC: Firebreak will be available across multiple platforms including PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store), Xbox Series X and S, and PlayStation 5, priced at $39.99 / €39.99 / £32.99. Fans can also enjoy it on day one through PC Game Pass, Game Pass Ultimate, and PlayStation Plus Game Catalog (Extra and Premium). Notably, this marks Remedy’s first venture into self-publishing.

In addition to the standard edition, Remedy is offering the FBC: Firebreak Deluxe Edition for $49.99 / €49.99 / £39.99. This edition includes exclusive cosmetics and premium voice packs such as “The Firestarter” and “The Pencil Pusher” Premium Voice Packs, the Firestarter Armor Set, Apex Revision (Helmet, Body Armor, Gloves), a Scorched Remnant Double-Barrel Shotgun Skin, and a Golden Firebreak Spray. Owners of the base game can upgrade to the Deluxe Edition for $10 / €10 / £7.

The Deluxe Edition also features the Classified Requisition: “Firestarter,” which includes 36 unlockable cosmetic items like weapon skins, sprays, and armor sets. Remedy has introduced a new system called Requisitions, which allows players to earn new gear and cosmetics simply by playing the game. These items, ranging from weapons and equipment to armor and sprays, can be unlocked using in-game currency earned through gameplay. Importantly, there are no limited-time windows or rotating stores; once an item is added, it remains available.

For those seeking more customization, Classified Requisitions offer premium cosmetic items, including armor sets, custom voice packs, sprays, and weapon skins. These can be purchased with real money but are purely cosmetic and have no impact on gameplay. They will also remain available permanently.

Remedy has committed to ongoing support for FBC: Firebreak post-launch, with plans to introduce two new Jobs in 2025 and more updates in 2026. All new playable content, such as Jobs, will be free for all players. While players can purchase additional cosmetics, these items will not affect gameplay, and there will be no limited-time rotations or daily log-ins.

Amidst a busy schedule, Remedy is also working on other projects including Control 2 and the Max Payne and Max Payne 2 remake compilation. Fans of Remedy’s work have much to look forward to in the coming years.
